About the book
The iPad is a tablet computer that is stylish, versatile and easy to use, and there is no reason why it should be the preserve of the younger generation.

The book covers all of the settings that can be applied and explains how to best use the virtual keyboard on the iPad.
iPad for Seniors in easy steps details all of the main functions of the iPad, including working with the built-in apps and navigating around with Multi-Touch Gestures. It also looks at a variety of tasks that can be undertaken on the iPad, from staying organized to keeping in touch and getting the most out of your music, photos, videos and books.
iPad for Seniors in easy steps also looks at areas of interest in which the iPad can be used to make life more fulfilling, such as when traveling, dealing with finances and viewing artwork. The book details the flexibility and power of the iPad and shows why it should always be your constant companion.
A handy guide for any Senior new to the iPad, covering iOS 7 (released September 2013) and presented in larger type for easier reading.

"Bought this for my Dad who's in his 80s and it fits the bill perfectly. He's been using his iPad for a while, and managed to upgrade it to iOS 7 without my help! However, his generation does like a physical reference manual which is clear without being patronising, and which uses analogies such as 'typewriters' which increase the clarity in a context that can be understood from his experience. As Dad can now look stuff up when stuck rather than wait until I am next visiting or on the telephone he can make quicker progress now. Recommended." (from Amazon.co.uk)
"Very easy to follow and does not take things for granted. Simple terminology , well presented with clear graphics. Excellent value for money. It has saved me lots of frustration when trying to discover how to use my ipad especially as I am from the 'old school' and feel lost without some kind of manual. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who knows almost nothing about iPads and is worried that they may not be able to 'use' one. Still have lots to explore and try out but you can dip into the appropriate section of the book to give self contained explanations of what you want to do and how to do it." (from Amazon.co.uk)
