By default, computer operating systems and the apps within them use dark text on a white background. However, it is possible to invert this on your Windows 10 laptop, so that white text appears on a black background, known as Dark Mode. This can make text easier to read for some people and also make apps stand out more against the Windows 10 background.
1) Open the Settings app and click on the Personalization button.
2) Click on the Colors button.
3) By default, Light is selected below the Choose your default app mode heading. Click on the Dark button to apply Dark Mode. Dark Mode is applied to all compatible Windows 10 apps, including the Settings app and the File Explorer.
