Raspberry Pi News – Mike McGrath gets his hands on the Raspberry Pi Starter Kit

“Well, my Raspberry Pi Starter Kit has now arrived so I have encapsulated the RasPi board in the included transparent case that accomodates an electronics ‘breadboard’. The breadboard allows connections to be  made easily to the programmable General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) header pins on the RasPi board, so I can demonstrate how to write and execute programs on the Raspberry Pi system to control attached electronic devices. The above photo simply illustrates the case and breadboard with a single LED illuminated from the Raspberry Pi board. Additionally, I have become a backer of the Picade arcade cabinet kit for the Raspberry Pi (see below). This should allow me to describe how to use the Raspberry Pi for retro desktop gaming.”
